It cost £ 100 - quite a considerable sum in 1717 - and when it was built was called Lyne of Dalrachney bridge. It is 2,5 yards wide, bur between parapets this would have narrowed to 7 feet only. So it was clearly only meant for men and horses. [1, 11]
