Comments :
The truss is in two sections and constructed with diagonal girders 10 inches wide in pairs 2 feet apart and held by cross struts which form fourteen lower triangles and thirteen upper ones, so that the top is slightly shorter than the deck level. There are cross bars overhead and railings at each side. [1] This bridge replaces one which collapsed in 1921. The remains of an older bridge can be seen a short distance upstream; this (much lighter) bridge was swept away in 1894. [18]
