The bridge is sited on the original military road (Carrbridge - Sluggan - Slochd) and was built by General George Wade between 1729 - 1730. This route was bypassed between 1798 - 1813 when the road was realigned. It is a single span rubble bridge, of approximately 10m span, with a dressed rubble segmental arch ring springing from square rubble footings. There is no parapet and the road surface is turfed. [HER] The span is 9,0 m.
